Bengals safety Jessie Bates reports to team’s facility

Bates did not attend any of the Bengals’ offseason activities, including minicamp and training camp. The 25-year-old was not fined for missing camp because he had not signed his tender. Bates is set to make $12.91 million on the franchise tag in 2022 after Cincinnati drafted safety Daxton Hill in the first round. It appears likely that Bates will play out a final year with the Bengals before becoming an unrestricted free agent next March.
